NEPTUNE Ship Detector

Model Overview

Detect and localize a variety of maritime objects from a variety of ship-mounted angles. Trained with proprietary CVEDIA synthetic technology, NEPTUNE includes tankers and cargo ships, as well as sail, fishing, motor, and emergency boats. The CVEDIA NEPTUNE Maritime Detector also detects buoys and debris as separate events, as well as ensuring airplanes are classified as false alarms. Use in an automation process, for docking, or as a part of a situational awareness system. This model was trained in cloudy and foggy conditions, as well as rough Douglas Sea State conditions from 0-7.

NEPTUNE allows for unprecedented object detection performance for maritime autonomy. By effectively utilizing CVEDIA synthetic data technology, NEPTUNE is stronger in uncommon weather and wave patterns, more resilient against new boat models, and regularly updated for consistent performance.
