NEPTUNE Aerial Ship Detector
Detect and localize a variety of maritime objects from a variety of aerial and geospatial angles. Trained with proprietary CVEDIA synthetic technology, NEPTUNE includes tankers and cargo ships, as well as sail, fishing, motor, and emergency boats. The CVEDIA Neptune Aerial Maritime Detector also detects buoys and debris as separate events, as well as ensuring airplanes are classified as false alarms. Use NEPTUNE in an automation process, for docking, or as a part of a situational awareness system. This model was trained in cloudy and foggy conditions, as well as rough Douglas Sea State conditions from 0-7.
NEPTUNE allows for unprecedented object detection performance for maritime autonomy. By effectively utilizing CVEDIA synthetic data technology, NEPTUNE is stronger in uncommon weather and wave patterns, more resilient against new boat models, and regularly updated for consistent performance.

CVEDIA is a pioneer in the use of synthetic data for machine perception. We use deep learning to create synthetic-based detection and classification algorithms. CVEDIA models actually outperform traditional models because synthetic data allows for feature-based design. That means our models are safer and quicker to market. Today we work with over 30 of the world’s largest companies on their most complex deep learning projects.
Every model is backed by an ongoing maintenance service, as well as the ability to customize and add to a model through our in-house development team. We’ll even help you deploy our models in your software stack. Contact us for more information.

Fine Grain Classification
Speak to our team to discuss vehicle classification as a service add on or as a separate model. CVEDIA’s in-house team will work with you to define your requirements, and build a synthetic-based model incorporating your classification specifications.
CVEDIA models are built using proprietary synthetic data technology – meaning adding additional classes to your model is possible in a matter of weeks.
NEPTUNE can be used to gather geospatial research regarding port activities, vessel travel patterns, and marine usage. Use data collected from NEPTUNE in large scale financial, environmental, and commercial traffic analysis.
Use NEPTUNE as an effective component of your maritime security system in order to track illegal fishing, piracy, border control, and maritime pollution. NEPTUNE is effective from various aerial angles, allowing it to be used through satellite imagery, airplane flyover, drone, and stationary lookout points.
NEPTUNE can be used at lookout points at ports and marines to ensure safe docking and cargo transfer. Additional detection classes and classification parameters are available as CVEDIA service add-ons.
